Air Fryer Oreos (Instant Vortex Plus and Instant Omni)
One of the most popular items at my State Fair was always deep fried Oreos, and now I keep seeing air fryer Oreos popping up everywhere, especially Instant Vortex Plus fried Oreos and Instant Omni air fryer Oreos. They are super easy to make, so I quickly did some up to try them out and blog about it!
The directions for this are the same whether you use the Vortex Plus or Omni. If you have a basket air fryer I note instructions for that too! It isn’t much different.

Can You Deep Fry Oreos In An Air Fryer?
Yes! You can deep fry Oreos in an air fryer and you can do so in your Instant Vortex Plus or Omni! Making fried Oreos in an air fryer is ridiculously easy!
Here is how to make them! Three ingredients are all that you need: Oreos, Crescent Rolls, and Powdered sugar.
There are a lot of cool things that you can make with Oreo Cookies. You can see some on the Oreo website. On my Snack Rules blog I also have Christmas Tree decorated Oreos. Also take a look at this list of 49 Oreo recipes. There area lot of great recipes there!

How To Make Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oreos
I made my air fried Oreos recipe with crescent rolls. You can also use biscuits or make up some thick pancake or waffle mix. I have tested this with only the Pillsbury crescent rolls though.
Using crescent rolls or biscuits is definitely easier to work with too.

Give a tray a spray with some oil (I use avocado oil) and set an Oreo cookie on a crescent roll.
Pinch up the sides around the cookie. You will have a tail of sorts left over from the dough. Pinch that off and save it!

When you are done, put your pinched off pieces of dough together and flatten them out.
You will have enough for one more cookie from these. The more fried cookies the better, right ?!?!?!

Pop the Oreos wrapped in crescent roll dough into the air fryer.
For Instant Vortex Plus fried Oreos or Instant Omni air fryer Oreos, or any oven style air fryer (such as the Power air fryer or GoWise), preheat to air fry at 385 for 6 minutes. Turn them when there are 2-3 minutes left.
For the Vortex or other basket style air fryers, also set to air fry at 385, for 6 minutes. Turn them every two minutes or so.

You want the cookies to get very golden brown.
Don’t under cook the Oreos or they will be too doughy .

In my Vortex Plus, the middle air fried Oreo did not cook as fully as the others at the beginning, so I switched to to the outside corner when I flipped them. That did the trick.
This is what mine looked like at the end of six minutes at 385.

Remove the Oreos from the air fryer and, while still hot, sprinkle them generously with powdered sugar.
You can also put hot fudge or chocolate sauce on them. They also go great with ice cream!

These are seriously good! And seriously easy to make!
Be sure to eat them hot!
