I have put together this list of recipes that are either specifically for the Duo Crisp or are for the similar Ninja Foodi or for the Instant Pot using a Mealthy Crisp Lid, such that you can use their directions to adapt the recipe to the Duo Crisp. Adapting recipes to the Instant Pot Duo Crisp
The Instant Pot Duo Crisp is a pressure cooker and air fryer in one. It has a pressure cooker lid and it also has separate and air fryer basket and lid. So, you can pressure cook and then switch lids and crisp the food. Or you can pressure cook or air fry alone. For more information, read my Instant Pot Duo Crisp Review.
Instant Pot Duo Crisp Recipes Adapted From Ninja Foodi Recipes
The Duo Crisp is very similar to the competing product, the Ninja Foodi, which also can pressure cook and air fry. For a comparison of the two, see my Ninja Foodi v. Instant Pot Duo Crisp Comparison Chart.
Because the Ninja Foodi is so similar, Ninja Foodi recipes will work well in the Duo Crisp. In fact the first thing I made in the Duo Crisp, the Pizza Bake in the below roundup, I adapted from a recipe on the Ninja website!
For most Ninja Foodi recipes you can pretty much follow the recipe and simply make it in the Instant Pot Duo Crisp instead. Sometimes you will see references to Ninja functions such a “crisp” without a temperature provided for air fry mode. When in doubt for air fry crisping, use 380-400 degrees. Generally, most preset air fry functions on devices run in that range, with 400 being the most common.
Also, if in doubt about time and temperature, the nice thing about the Duo Crisp air fry lid is that you can pick it up and check the food at any time, so just keep an eye on things. Note that you cannot do this when the product is in a pressure cooker mode! If a recipe does not give a manual pressure cooker time and instead uses a function, look for a similar function on the Instant Pot or look for similar Instant Pot recipes for a time and temperature suggestion.
Instant Pot Duo Crisp Recipes Adapted From the Mealthy Crisp Lid
The Mealthy Crisp Lid is an air fryer lid made to fit the Instant Pot. It is an affordable way to add air fry and crisping functions to the pot.
I find that the Mealthy is not as ideal as the Duo Crisp because the Duo Crisp fan is much better and the air fry basket for the Duo Crisp allows air to circulate properly for good air frying. However, Mealthy Crisp Lid recipes do adapt well to the Duo Crisp. Plus the Mealthy Lid is much more affordable, so more people own it.
When adapting a Mealthy recipe, take note that the Duo Crisp might cook or crisp the food faster. That is because it simply is more efficient. This is especially true if only air frying and not simply crisping the top of a meal that has been pressure cooked. Again, simply keep an eye on your food.
Creating Recipes From Air Fryer Recipes
Finally, you can often take any basket-style air fryer recipe and adapt it to the Instant Pot Duo Crisp. The air circulation in the Duo Crisp is similar to many basket style fryers, so simply try the recipe as written and keep an eye on your food to assure that it is not over cooking.

Aren’t there recipes where you can cook wings with sauce the use the duo crisp fryer that comes with the pot?
This is my Duo Crisp wing recipe. It adds the sauce separately, but you could put the sauce in with the wings during cooking, or crisp it onto the wings when air frying. Wings tend to crisp best though if done without sauce first. https://instantpotcooking.com/instant-pot-duo-crisp-chicken-wings/
